Police appeal after man assaulted in broad daylight in Peacehaven

A man was put in hospital after he suffered head injuries during an assault in Peacehaven outside a newsagents on Wednesday lunch time (April 3)

Police said the alleged assault took place outside the Your Daily Needs newsagents in South Coast Road at about 12.30pm.

A 41-year-old man received facial cuts and bruises during the attack.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A 33-year old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, and was later released on police bail until May 8 while enquiries continue.
