Police appeal after Seaford man assaulted

A MAN was punched in the face when he opened his front door in Seaford on Friday night (February 18).

Sussex Police said the resident heard his doorbell ring, opened it and then saw a woman and a man sitting on dustbins in his front garden.

He asked them what they were doing and to leave his garden, but the man then hit him in the face and gave him a black eye.

Police were called to a report of an assault in Sutton Drove at around 10pm.

The suspect and the woman then made off from the scene.

PC Wood said: “This was an unprovoked attack on the victim.

“We would like to talk to any person in the area at the time, and remind residents of Seaford that this type of incident is extremely rare.”
