Police appeal after teen is mugged by three men in Peacehaven

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy from Peacehaven was mugged in the town.

Officers were called at around 10.40pm on Thursday (December 10) to a report that the victim had been robbed by three men as he walked down Arundel Road.

The suspects, two white men and a black man, were all wearing dark clothing and were about 5’10”. Two of them restrained the victim while the other grabbed his wallet, which had £200 cash inside.

The victim managed to get one arm free and punched one of the suspects, which caused all three to run off in the direction of Steyning Avenue.

Detective Constable Paul Kelly said: “This must have been a very frightening experience for the victim, but thankfully he was not seriously hurt.

“We would like to speak with anyone who was in the area and who may have seen something suspicious at around 10.15pm.”
