Police appeal after theft of ‘distinctive’ truck

Have your say

An eye-catching flatbed truck - reminiscent of vehicles seen in the ‘Mad Max’ films - was stolen from a workshop in Bayham Road, Bells Yew Green, near Frant, at some time between midnight and 7.30am on Saturday (August 15)

The right-hand-drive Toyota Hilux has black leather seats, no sun roof and a 2.4 litre diesel engine. Its 35-inch tyres and heightened suspension make the vehicle highly distinctive.

Police Constable Natalie Daly, said: “This truck certainly looks out of the ordinary, so I would ask anyone who thinks they may have seen it to contact police. Anyone with information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting serial 0453 of 15/08.”
