Police are trying to trace a man who was reported missing on Thursday (October 8).

50-year-old man Martin Pepperell, reported missing from his home in Pelham Square, Brighton. Officers were notified of his disappearance at 4.30pm.

Martin is described as white, 6’2”, of heavy build and has short brown hair.

Enquiries had led to a search for Martin being concentrated in the Seaford Head area overnight, with officers being supported by coastguards and a police helicopter.

This has brought no result and and enquiries are continuing.

A police spokesman said, “Martin has been depressed recently so we are naturally concerned for his welfare.

“If you have seen him or know where he is, please contact us right away via 101 or 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1060 of 08/10.
