The East Dean and Friston Residents’ Association received a cheque for £550 from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF) on Sunday, 3 April.

PCSO Mick Morter presented the cheque to local residents Roy Webb and Gerald Simcox. The money will be put towards rock salt to use on the steep roads around East Dean and Friston which are inaccessible to gritting lorries in bad weather.

PPAF grants for local charitable causes are funded by sales of property that come into the Force where no owner can be identified.

If you know of any charities in Wealden that need assistance with funding speak to your local PCSO. Contact details for officers can be found on WWW.Sussex.police.uk.
