Eastbourne Police has donated £150 to Friends of West Rise Junior School to help provide wet weather clothing and fire safety equipment.

Children from the school are taken regularly to the marshlands to learn outdoor skills including cooking, animal care, and environmental safety. The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

Police Community Support Officer David Kerr said the money would help the children learn valuable outdoor skills within the natural beauty of their surroundings.
