UKIP wins two Peacehaven and Telscombe Town seats

The UK Independence Party gained both the seats available in the Peacehaven and Telscombe Towns division - and the margin between the two successful candidates was just four votes.

The division was previously held by the Conservatives. Out of a total possible vote of 33,540, the turn out was 34 per cent.

Ian Verdun Buchanan (UK Independence Party) 2,236 (19.8 per cent); Phil Howson (UK Independence Party) 2,232 (19.8 per cent); John Livings (Conservative) 2,148 (19 per cent); Andy Smith (Conservative) 2,027 (18 per cent); John Carden (Labour and Co-operative) 1,119 (9.9 per cent); Christine Robinson (Labour and Co-operative) 1,116 (9.9 per cent); Adrian Norman Ross (Green) 207 (1.8 per cent); Keith Joseph Rapley (Green) 199 (1.8 per cent).
