SUSSEX Downs College is working with youth charity the Prince’s Trust to run three 12 week courses for unemployed young people in Nehwaven starting in May.

The Prince’s Trust Team programme is a personal development programme for 16 to 25-year-olds who are not in education or employment.

Teams of up to 15 young people take part in a challenging and action-packed course which includes a residential week, community project, help with CV writing and interview skills and a two-week work placement.

Attending the programme is free and will not affect Jobseeker’s Allowance.

There will be careers advice, help with job hunting and a recognised City and Guilds qualification.

More than three in four young people helped by The Prince’s Trust move into work or training.
