Hailsham Old Pavilion Society (HOPS) held its annual autumn quiz earlier this month.
Around 16 teams met to fight for the honour of overall champions at the event which took place on October 4.
A spokesman for HOPS said the event raised more than £500.
The spokesman continued: “Quiz master Steve set a full range of questions to test the extensive and in some cases obscure knowledge of the teams.
“It was a tight affair with the ‘Plumley’ team of HOPS regular supporters coming out on top.
“The half time bonus round kept the teams deep into debate while they were tucking into their ploughmans supper provided by the HOPS committee.
“The total raised for the Pavilion was over £500.”
Hailsham Old Pavilion Society said it would like to thank all the teams that supported the event and the volunteers that made the night so successful.
HOPS was established in 1993 to raise funds to restore the pavilion cinema for the use of the community of Hailsham and its surrounding districts, as a cinema and live entertainment venue. Today funds are still needed to maintain and support this important local project. For more information visit http://www.pavilionhailsham.co.uk/
