ROLL UP! Roll up! The cirucs has arrived in Lewes and Wealden Districts!
John Lawson’s Cirus features all sorts of colourful artists performing balancing, aerial and low wire acts, funny clowns and acrobats - and Spiderman!
John Lawson’s circus was founded in 1974 by ringmaster ‘captain’ John Lawson and was originally titled John Lawson’s Circus De Reszke.
After five years of appearing at outdoor events all over the country to great acclaim, Captain John bought a small second-hand ‘flower show’ marquee.
Then with one Bedford lorry he began touring the country with possibly the smallest circus in the land.
Children and adults alike have been invited to enjoy the circus which will be in the area for the next week or so.
