Lewes Rotary Club has donated £500 to a popular nursery group to help support its future work.

Pippa Campbell from Pippa’s Group accepted a cheque for £500 from the club's community service committee chairman Ian Martin at a meeting last week.

The nursery, which has been operating in Lewes since 1986, aims to provide an affordable, happy, highly-staffed and stimulating pre-school for children in the town. It also offers help and advice at a weekly parent support group.

The Rotary Club of Lewes was founded in 1923 and has a long tradition of supporting local charities and people in need in the town.
