Royal Wedding commemorations in Polegate

POLEGATE Town Council would like to commemorate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katherine Middleton by offering congratulations from as many people in Polegate as possible.

There will be a card held in the council office at 49 High Street, Polegate between 9am to 1pm each day from April 4 until April 8 for all residents in the town to sign.

The card from Polegate residents will then be sent to the Royal household ahead of the special wedding on April 29 2011.

If you are unable to come into the office send your personal message to the Town Clerk by email or post and it will be included.

The Mayor of Polegate and council members hope that as a town the wedding will be celebrated in different ways and want to draw the attention of residents to the family activities planned at the Royal British Legion Club in Victoria Road, Polegate.

A town council spokeswoman said: “We hope the weekend is a great success and everyone has a memorable time.

“Please see the notice boards for more details.”

Plans will soon be afoot by Polegate Town Council for the celebration of the Diamond Jubillee of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth
