Hailsham Town Council has launched a Scarecrow Festival design competition, where residents, businesses and community organisations are invited to let their imagination run wild and build their own scarecrow from scratch.
Scarecrows must be created with a medieval theme and selected creations will be on display across the town from August 31 to September 14.
Entry into the competition is free and there are prizes for Best Child, Best Group,
Personal, Business and Best Use of Recycled Materials categories. The deadline for receipt of scarecrows is August 27.
For more information on the Medieval Scarecrow Festival and to download an entry form, visit hailsham-tc.gov.uk, call in to the Town Council offices in Market Street or look for the scarecrow poster in shops and get an entry form there.
