CUCKMERE House School in Seaford and College Central in Eastbourne and Lewes are appealing for people to provide work experience for their pupils.
Together they will launch an information advice and guidance (IAG) programme with an open morning at Cuckmere House School on Wednesday May 18 May at 10am.
A number of local employers will attend the open morning to learn about the initiatives and how the community can work together to support our young people as they prepare to leave school.
The schools are committed to the longer term welfare of their pupils.
They are in the process of achieving the Investors in Careers Kitemark, in recognition of the quality of careers education and guidance that they offer.
Frank Stanford, executive headteacher said: “We know that young people who stay in education or training post-16 are more likely to find employment, and that accurate and impartial guidance in the final year of compulsory schooling is an important factor in their decisions.
“To help our pupils to make the right choices for their future, we are hoping to extend our work experience programmes in our community.”
