Have your say

Visitors descended on Seaford and District Horticultural Society’s summer show in their hundreds on Saturday (August 10) to marvel at the displays.

More than 500 members of the public attended the new venue for the show, Seaford Head Community School, in Arundel Road.

With very difficult growing conditions, members still managed to produce wonderful flowers, fruit and vegetables.

There were also excellent displays from art and crafts, photography, domestic produce, children’s competition and flower arrangements.

The group’s next social is on Thursday September 26 with a talk by Steven Moore at St Leonard’s Church Hall starting at 7pm.

All the entries were judged in the morning and awards given to the following members during the afternoon: Norman King, Julie Jupp, Mike Parker, Mick Brown, Mrs R Williams, Jim Murray, Stuart Ridley, Val Painter, Barbara Pound, Sylvia Carter, Andrea Butti, Michael Hine, Marion & Danney Freelove, Mr D Clay, and the children’s award going to Master B Burgess-Dinleyici.
