A POPULAR fundraising lunch in aid of floral displays will be held at St Leonard’s Church Hall in Seaford.
The Seaford in Bloom Soup, Spud and Pud Lunch will run from 12.30pm – 2pm in the Church Lane venue on Wednesday March 14.
The main colour theme for this year’s displays will be red white and blue’ marking the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Year.
Chairman of Seaford in Bloom Jim Murray said: “This event is always extremely popular.”
Tickets costing £7 including coffee, are now available from Fotobox in Broad Street and Rowland Gorringe Estate Agents, Station Approach Seaford. Entry is by ticket only.
The main annual fundraising event, the Seaford in Bloom Open Gardens Day, will be on Sunday July 15.
Jim added: “Although there are several other Open Garden weekends taking place in and around Seaford this year, we hope that our event will once again be well supported, as it has been for the last 15 years.
“All the money raised from our events goes towards funding the floral displays in Seaford which get better and better each year.
“With the many extra visitors generated by the 2012 Olympics, we hope to make the Seaford displays bigger and more colourful than ever this summer.”
The judging of the 2012 Floral Competition will take place on Tuesday July 10.
