It will be like an episode of Baywatch in Seaford on January 6 as a bunch of hardy lifeguards run into the sea.
Seaford Lifeguards are having their annual New Year Dip at 11am that Sunday.
About 12 of them are expected to take to the waves and, like this year, they will be joined by guests from Seaford Baptist Church.
Mayor Cllr Linda Walraven will also be attending, along with lifeguard supporters, the committee, chairman and president.
The lifeguards are sponsored to raise funds to help continue the service and the Baptist Church swimmers will be raising funds for their own charity.
Chairman Peter Gwilliam said: “There will be a big team of us there.
“The lifeguards have to train in the sea all the time and it’s warmer in the water than it is out this time of year.”
