GET ready for days packed full of music, arts and entertainment courtesy of Seaford Live!
The not for profit venture runs from today (Friday September 7) to September 16, starting with a Seaford Baptist Church Concert at 7.30pm tonight.
Tomorrow (Saturday September 8) features the preview of new rock musical ‘We Built This City’ by Seaford Musical Theatre, a lunchtime concert at St Leonard’s Church, gigs and Shakespearean monologues and songs from Synergy Theatre at Crouch Gardens.
Monday sees a Book Group meet at The Crypt as well as Seaford and District Folk Dance Group at Downs Leisure Centre.
There is a Poetry Evening at The Crypt on Wednesday and an Acoustic Evening at the Wellington Hotel featuring Kristina Bradford and Mel Hayes.
Storytellers session is at The Office Bar on Thursday and Music Box brings rock ‘n’ roll from the 1960s and 70s to the Con Club.
A ‘Little’ Seaside Show will be at The Little Theatre on Friday September 14 and the following day on Saturday September 15 and there will be musical entertainment at several venues.
Saturday sees Seaford Folk Club playing and for those who would like to learn how to play a tune, a Terry Lees Delta Blues Guitar Workshop at the Royal British Legion.
‘Morning After’ will bring Motown and blues covers to the Con Club and there is a Karaoke Evening at Cinque Ports.
A Talent Contest and a Music Quiz feature on the final Sunday (September 16) along with the Seaford Rock and Jazz Orchestra.
Also during the festival, 24 artists and makers from Seaford and beyond will present a show of visual art and handcrafted gifts at an open house at 54 Stafford Road.
