SEAFORD Rotary Club is inviting entrants to its Young Musician of the Year Competition and there is even the chance to win a cash prize.
Budding musicians must be aged 11 to 17-years-old and live or go to school in the BN25 area can take part.
They will need to perform a piece on their instrument or sing a song in front of an invited audience.
The contest will take place at Newlands School on Saturday March 10.
Rotary spokesperson Derek Larter said: “The aim of the competition is to offer young people the chance to showcase their musical talent and it’s not necessary to be an amazing performer to have a go.
“Entries will close at the end of January but the number of places is limited so the earlier applications are received the better the chance of being accepted.”
The competition is for solo performers only. Copies of the rules and entry forms from www.seafordrotary.org.uk or from rotarian Jim Anderson on 01323 492846.
