Seaford Young Mayor’s Awards nomination deadline extended

THE SEAFORD Young Mayor’s Awards nomination deadline has been extended to Wednesday March 7 to enable last minute entries to the scheme which has been sponsored by the Keith Baker Charitable Trust.

Nominees for the Seaford Young Performer award will take part in a talent show on Wednesday March 14 at the new Mercread Children’s Centre.

The Awards Evening will be held at the Seaford Baptist Church on Wednesday March 21 where the winner of the Young Performer will be revealed along with the category winners of the Youth Group, Bravery, Young Volunteer, Sport, Adult Supporting Youth Activities, Young Carer and Young Mayors Award 2012.

The new deputy young mayor of Seaford will also be announced at the Awards Evening on March 21.

Young people in school years 8-10 who live in Seaford but do not attend a Seaford school who wish to stand for election should contact Seaford Town Council before Friday March 2 on 01323 894870.

The current Young Mayor of Seaford is Miss Maddie Jay and the Deputy Young Mayor is Miss Amy Gough.
