SEAHAVEN Lionesses were thrilled with a certificate from Sussex Air Ambulance thanking them for the money they had raised.
The group raised around £1,000 by organising a charity golf day at Seaford Head Golf Club.
Money was collected through entrance fees and the raffle on Friday July 13.
The Lionesses thanked Len Fisher of Seaford Head Golf Club, David Jordan Estate Agents, Prestige Promotions of Newhaven and Wave Leisure for sponsorship, and for raffle prizes: Deans Place, Alfriston, Coopers Funeral Directors, Intersport, Tony Osborne Financial Services and The Old Boot.
Seahaven Lionesses was formed in 1993 and meets in Seaford on the second Tuesday of the month, from 7.30pm in the Old Plough, Church Street Seaford.
The group aims to help those who are less fortunate in the community and to support charities.
