Singing group launched in Ringmer

A new, exciting and friendly adult singing group is being launched locally on Tuesday evenings.

Sing it Local will be based in Ringmer and a four-week trial gets under way on June 18 (7.15-9pm). The first session is free.

It’s the brainchild of Keith Pemberton, who said: “The key to the success of this new community project is that we keep the sessions for local people who want to meet people in the area who enjoy the same things.

“We want the people of Lewes and Ringmer to get out socialising and having fun with their neighbours and friends. Everyone loves singing, but some people get scared of words like harmony, pitch, tone and solos.

“That is why we are focusing on the people. We want everyone to have fun and enjoy letting out their inner voice whilst having a great time meeting new friends.

“Everyone is welcome – no experience or talent required, just enthusiasm.”

He added: “We want people to come and see how easy it is to sing together as a group and create a lovely sound.”

The venue is Ringmer Community College, Lewes Road, and to find out more go to
