SOCIAL events are blooming at Hailsham and District Flower Club which hosted a talk called ‘One Day I will’ led by Lady Mary Teviot.

Lady Teviot told about her passion for researching family trees which featured in the BBC TV programme, ‘Heir Hunters’.

Winners in the beginners class were Jane Williams (1st); Maggie Phillips (2nd). Intermediate class: Marie Haward (1st), and Sarah McGinn (2nd). Advanced: Debbie Dann (1st); Marian Williams (2nd), and Sue Woodrow (3rd). Senior advanced: Evelyn Evenden (1st); Doris Holt (2nd) and Christine Campbell-Dyke (3rd) and highly commended to Angie Evans. The club gave £250 to Sussex Kidney Trust earlier this year.
