THE CRYPT Gallery in Seaford is now open for exhibitions after repairs were carried out on it.
A show by The Society of Sussex Painters, Sculptors and Engravers opened on Saturday June 11 and will close on Thursday June 23.
The old Citizen’s Advice Bureau offices in Church Street have undergone significant changes and will be available for use separately from autumn.
The works on the gallery and the Undercroft will cost in the region of £10,000, but including work on the old CAB office, the total figure will come to around £35,000.
General remedial work has been carried out at the Undercroft, but there will also be improved disabled access and signs.
Society of Sussex Painters president Helen Armstrong said: “This is the second time we have shown our work in Seaford and we were very pleased by the great response to our earlier exhibition last September.
“Other recent exhibitions have been at Littlehampton Museum, the Grange Gallery Rottingdean and as part of the Arts Council exhibition in Brighton earlier this week.”
The gallery will open daily from 10.30am-4.30pm, however the exhibition closes at 3pm on the last day. Admission is free and there is disabled access.
