AN EXCHANGE of ideas is one aim of an exhibition or artwork by the Society of Sussex Painters, Sculptors and Engravers at Seaford’s Crypt Gallery.
The Church Street display was opened by the mayor Cllr Linda Wallraven on Saturday (June 9) and is open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm until June 21.
The society is made up of artists who have, in the main, been professionally trained and they seek to be innovative and original.
Exhibitions are used to sell work but also as a showcase for the exchange of ideas and aim to develop new work which can be contemporary or traditional.
The society was founded in 1924 and is one of the oldest in the county of Sussex.
