The choir from Manor Primary School has been presented with a cheque for £350 by Uckfield’s United Reformed Church to say ‘thank you’ for taking part in a concert.

The Civic Centre was packed for an evening of Music from the Musicals on Saturday when Ellie-May Owen was a soloist in ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone.’

It was also a debut for many more of the children who sang in public for the first time.

This was the church’s fifth annual brass band concert featuring Uckfield Concert Brass and the third time children from Manor Park Primary School had taken part.

Uckfield Mayor Cllr Ian Smith handed over the cheque from the Church’s Doug Scott to deputy head teacher of Manor Primary School, Peter Ediss.
