VISITORS can spend a night at the museum in Seaford for a special event where it will be open late into the evening.
Seaford Museum will join others across Europe in celebrating the annual Museums at Night Festival.
Organisers will be creating a spooky atmosphere with the help of subdued lighting.
Seaford Bonfire Society members and staff will be in costume for the event too.
Museum publicity officer Mick Barrett said: “Although it does not get dark until fairly late in the evening, inside the Martello Tower it is very dark without lights as there are no windows.
“The low lighting effect can show how it was for the soldiers inside the tower 200 years ago.”
Seaford Musem at Night will open from 6pm to 10pm on Friday May 13.
Although stairs and steps will be illuminated, the event may not be suitable for the visually or physically impaired.
