Halloween is fast approaching, and if you’re looking for something a bit different to do with the children, The Observatory Science Centre in Herstmonceux will be hosting a Halloween Open Evening.
After the huge success of last year’s event, a spokesman for the centre said it is again offering a unique mix of stargazing and spooky activities.
The open evening takes place on November 1 from 6.30pm until 11pm. Children are encouraged to dress up if they want to. As well as Halloween make-and-take activities, if it’s not cloudy, some of the observatory’s giant historic telescopes will be available to view the wonders of the night sky. As a special offer for Halloween, the observatory is offering a free child ticket with each full paying adult. Visit the-observatory.org.
