WEALDEN businesses are gearing up for a bid day on Tuesday, October 11.
That’s the date set for the first ever Wealden Business Expo which runs from 10am-4pm in the State Hall, Station Road.
Organisers say most stands are now taken but there are a few remaining. So if you have a business, you are looking for business advice or to gain a wider audience – then you you should take part and be there.
There is ample parking with three free car parks in the immediate vicinity and a cafeteria serving hot food and drinks will be on site.
This is the opportunity to meet customers and fellow business people, tell everyone what you do, what you want and promote your own businesses and services.
Organisers have provided space for 44 exhibitors and two rooms for seminars, business discussions groups and forums. And with a capacity for 40 people in each room there is wide scope for audiences.
A wide range of businesses have already signed up to take part including large organisations such as Sussex Downs College, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Co-operative Store and Sainsbury’s. There are also many small firms scheduled to be there including PC maintenance, website designers, business coaching and many more.
A competition was held among first year students at Heathfield community College to design a logo for the Expo, and this was won by Tom Wickens, 12 of Turners Green. His design was chosen from an entry of 25. Tom’s prize for winning includes help with designing and building his own website.
