A SUPPORT group for parents of special needs children will start in Peacehaven next month.

Special Parents Peacehaven will operate from Peacehaven Children’s Centre in Meridian Way.

Founder Rachel Moran said: “We recently had a considerable donation from one of our families in memory of their father who died recently and decided to set aside some of the money to fund a new group, after research showed that support was needed in the Peacehaven area.

“After much searching we found a venue and have been very lucky to be supported by the local children’s centre who are providing a venue and creche free of charge.

“We would love family members of special needs children to come and join us.”

There will be the chance to meet parents in the same situation, share ideas and listen to guest speakers.

Rachel has run a similar support group in Eastbourne.

Special Parents Peacehaven, in memory of Ron Juler, will start on Tuesday March 8, from 1pm-2.30pm.

Creche places must be booked by calling the children’s centre on 01273 582511 at least one week in advance.
