A NEW art exhibition has been unveiled at the All Saints Centre in Lewes thanks to students from Sussex Downs College.

The second year Applied Art and Design Double Award students have been working on the project for the last six months. Twelve original pieces of artwork have been selected for display.

Sabina Townshend, Art and Design Lecturer, said: “It’s been a great challenge for the students to work to a live brief with specific dimensions, timescales, deadlines and then to present their work for selection, and a wonderful opportunity for them to get their work seen by the public.”

Lizzie Zeyfert, All Saints Manager, said: “It was rewarding to see the creativity of the students who study in Lewes and it was a tough decision selecting the final dozen pieces as the level of work was so high. The art produced fits in very well in the selected spaces.

“It is great to produce a platform where the students can exhibit their work and for the work to be enjoyed by the many people who visit the All Saints. I look forward to further collaborations with Sussex Downs College.”

The exhibition continues at the Friars Walk venue until the end of April.
