A fairytale cottage from East Sussex is among a number of elaborate designs shortlisted for the 2016 Shed of the Year competition.

The mock cottage – fully equipped with stained glass windows, crooked slate roof tiles and a witchy weathervane – made a shortlist of 32 designs competing to be named the Cuprinol Shed of the Year.

The shortlist, which was whittled down from a list of more than 2,825 entrants, has been split into eight distinct categories including budget, entertainment and unique.

The outlandish entries include a restored nuclear bunker, several fully-stocked bars and a re-creation of the Millennium Falcon.

The public can vote for the winners in each category until June 8 with all the designs featuring on Channel 4’s Amazing Spaces Shed Of The Year show later this year.
