X-Factor hopeful Chloe Paige has gone through to next round after impressing all four judges at the auditions.
A well known local artist who regularly performs in Eastbourne and Wealden, Chloe’s X-factor audition aired on Sunday August 30.
Joined by her mother and extended family, Chloe who lives in Brighton, joked with Simon Cowell about selling lipstick before beginning her audition.
It didn’t take long for her performance of Crying for No Reason by Katy B to win her the support of both the crowd and the judges.
All four judges heaped the singer with praise, before voting her through to the next round.
Nick Grimshaw said, “Chloe that was perfect. I felt like you performed that with everything in your body. I could listen to you all day.”
Rita Ora said, “I didn’t want you to stop singing. You sound absolutely pure as water you are so gorgeous and I’m so happy you sang for me.”
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said, “I don’t know how somebody of your age finds something so deep like that. You literally sang from you soul. You are amazing.”
Head judge Simon Cowell said, “I wasn’t expecting that Chloe I was think oh god you’re going to be really squeaky and annoying and actually out came that voice. You’re really really good.”
Praise for the singer’s performance didn’t stop there as Katy B took to twitter to thank Chloe for picking her song.
Katy B wrote, “Chloe! That was amazing! You have such a beautiful voice! Thankyou so much for picking my Song!”
Chloe’s mother Karen said, “I must be the proudest mum in the world.”
