CUSTOMERS enjoyed Champagne, food and wine at the formal reopening of a popular Crowborough pub last Thursday.
The Crow and Gate in Uckfield Road re-opened on May 14 after a £125,000 renovation by owners Vintage Inns that includes new seating, colour schemes, curtains, carpets, soft furnishings and lighting. The pub is also on the lookout for extra front of house and kitchen staff.
Landlord David Sulway said: “We aim to be the perfect country pub whether customers want a relaxing pint of real ale or a candlelit dinner in the dining area. We’re delighted this magnificent old building has had such a loving and tasteful restoration.”
The menu includes best of British seasonal flavours with two courses for an £8 fixed price. As well as wines, drinkers can enjoy Harvey’s ales, Shepherd Neame Spitfire and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord.
