Theatre on lookout for talented dancers

The White Rock Theatre is looking for talented dancers as part of the Juvenile Dance Chorus in this year’s pantomime, Cinderella.

Successful candidates will get the opportunity to work with a professional director, choreographer and cast and the older girls will have the opportunity to partner third year students from Laine Theatre Arts.

Girls/ boys, aged 12-19 years on December 1, 2015, must have excellent dance ability with outstanding stage presence. Singing and drama experience is desirable but not essential.

Rehearsals for the Juvenile Dance Chorus will take place from the end of October/beginning of November and will be held at weekends (daytime) until they join the professional cast on Monday, December 1. Rehearsals are then held after school and at weekends until the production has its first dress rehearsal on Wednesday, December 9.

Those wishing to audition for the juvenile dance chorus should complete separate audition forms. All candidates will be told on the day of the audition whether or not they are successful. Anyone interested in attending either audition should complete an audition form and return it to the box office by Friday, May 29.
