Thugs rob teenager on way to rail station

A teenager was punched and had items stolen after he was robbed in broad daylight.

The 16-year-old was attacked in Middle Street at 5pm as he was walking from the HMV Store towards the railway station on September 22.

The victim was not injured but had items taken from him. These included some speakers he had just bought stolen along with his black Armani Jeans messenger bag with two vertical white stripes on, which contained some Armani Diamonds aftershave and £30 in cash in a black Nike wallet.

The first man is described as a white, aged 18 to 25, 5ft 10ins and of muscular build with blonde or light brown hair. He was wearing a black hooded top with a front zip, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers. The second man is described as a white, aged 18 to 25, 5ft 10ins and of stocky build. He was wearing a, grey jacket and grey joggers with a black hat. Detective constable Paul Semple said: “This is an unprovoked attack that has resulted in items being stolen from a boy who was on his own, fortunately he was not injured. We would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident as there were several people seen in the area.”
