AT THE end of a long and successful season for Uckfield Rugby Football Club the morning dawned fair for presentations to the the mini and junior sections on Sunday, May 8.
Also on the day’s agenda was a fun day of touch rugby matches between parents and children of all ages, children proving their superior fitness.
The icing on the cake was the formal presentation of the RFU Seal of Approval by former President of the RFU, Bob Rogers and current President of Sussex RFU, Peter Bailey.
The accreditation recognises the standard of rugby provision by Uckfield RFC from under ages under six up to under 18 in terms of ensuring the quality of the facilities and coaching, and above all, the safety of the children.
The visiting dignitaries were welcomed by Club president Peter Reeves and the award was presented to Club captain Robbie Cannon. Robbie led the team responsible for producing the evidence file which proved that Uckfield RFC met the required standards set by the RFU.
