Firle Bonfire Society will hold its traditional and very atmospheric Bonfire Night tomorrow (Saturday October 25).

Torch lit processions through the village will start at 7pm and are followed by a fireworks display in Firle Park starting at 9.15pm.

A road closure is in operation from 5.30pm to 11pm so there is no vehicle access into the village but car parking is available in Firle Park at £10 per car.

There are no visiting societies at Firle. For further information contact firlebonfire@googlemail.com or visit www.firlebonfire.com

Firle Bonfire Society was first mentioned in 1879 in a diary of the vicar of Firle, Reverend Crawley.

It was re-formed in 1982 to encourage and promote traditional bonfire celebrations in the village.
