Driver seriously injured in Clay Hill crash

SUSSEX Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A26 at Clay Hill, near Ringmer, on Thursday (July 12).

The collision happened at 5.05pm and involved two vehicles, a white Nissan and a white Ford transit van, travelling in the opposite direction, which left the road and overturned.

The 48-year-old van driver from Heathfield suffered slight injuries.

A 54-year-old man from Portslade, driving the Nissan, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to call the police on 101 quoting serial 1259 of 12/07.
