Thirteen injured in Five Ashes bus collision

Twelve passengers were injured when their bus collided with a car on the A267 at Five Ashes just before 11.40pm today (Monday May 13).

The car driver was also injured and all have been taken to hospitals in either Brighton or Tunbridge Wells.

Emergency services are still at the A267 junction with Horleigh Green Road, where the road will be closed for some time.

Sgt Dan Pitcher said: “Two of the passengers have received serious injuries in the collision and others are being treated.

“I thank people for their patience as the road will be closed for some time.

“If anyone witnessed the collision I urge them to contact police on 101 quoting serial 0485/13 or email us at ‘collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk’.”
