POLEGATE Town Twinning Association is holding a Coffee Morning at Polegate Community Centre from 10am on September 23.
There will be home made cakes, greetings cards, jewellery and books for sale as well as coffee and tea. Everyone is welcome to come along to browse the stalls, have a natter and enjoy a good ‘cuppa’’.
The group’s aim is to develop international friendship with French and German groups twinned with Polegate. The Association has had links with Appen in north Germany since 1981 and with Saintry-sur-Seine in France since 1991. Many members have developed strong friendships with the German and French visitors and enjoy seeing the wonderful sights of the European countries, and showing them beautiful Sussex in return.
Memberships costs only £7.50 per year. You can be a resident of Polegate or any nearby town and you do not have to go on exchange trips if you do not want to - although most members see those as the highlights of the year.
