Two men forced their way into a St Leonards home and threatened the occupants.

The incident happened about 10.30pm on March 20 when a 29-year-old man opened the front door of his home in Blackman Avenue after a woman knocked and asked for someone who didn’t live there.

Two men then forced their way into the property and threatened the victim before they and the woman left empty handed and headed towards an alleyway that leads to the nearby allotment car park.

One of the men was white and wearing a black Puffa-style jacket with white shoes and black gloves. The second man was white and was wearing a black, waist-long sporty-type jacket.

Detective constable Naomi Morrison said: “The men appear to have picked the wrong address as they were asking for people who did not live there. We need to speak to anyone who saw the men forcing the way into the house or escaping afterwards. If you have any information at all, please contact us.”
