TWO LONG-established Sussex website design firms are planning a business merger.
Blue Planet, which started out in Uckfield and celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, and Jupiter Colour, based in Heathfield and has been designing websites for 15 years, hope to have completed the merger by the end of this year. Blue Planet managing director Mark Vaesen who recently moved his business to Ringmer said his company’s strengths were in design and build of websites while Jupiter Colour were experts in search engine optimisation and digital marketing.
Managing director at Jupiter Colour Julian Wates said: “It makes perfect sense for us to work together and we are really excited about the future. The merger will create a highly motivated business with lots of experience which can only benefit our existing clients and those who join us in the future.”
The base for the, as yet unnamed, new company, will be the converted barn headquarters of Blue Planet at the Meadow Business Centre, Old Uckfield Road, Ringmer. Blue Planet currently employs two full-time and two part-time people and Jupiter Colour employs one full-time and one part-time person. Services offered by the new company will include web design and development, search engine optimisation, e-commerce, brand identity and graphic design.
