Uckfield Police has donated £250 to the Beat Anorexia charity which will help fund its programmes and holiday activities for patients at Chalkhill Children and Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Uckfield.

Dr Sas Conradie said: “I want to thank the support of Uckfield police for the anorexia nervosa fund-raising dinner that our daughter Sachelle organised. We really appreciate the participation of your colleagues.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

PCSO Tony Moore said: “It is a great privilege to be able to support such a worthy cause by assisting in successfully applying for the small donation from the police property act fund. Hopefully this will assist some of the patients.”
