Uckfield’s giant bunny, Ralph has reclaimed his rightful position as the biggest rabbit in the world.

Ralph was on show to his admiring fans when his home, Sussex Horse Rescue Trust at Hempstead Farm, held an open day to kick of the 2013 summer season on Easter Sunday.

Ralph is four years old and held an unbroken record as the ‘world’s biggest’ until another rabbit called Darius beat him on the weight in last year.

But Ralph is now three stone, eight pounds - heavier than the average toddler - and has scored top trumps on his recent weigh-in.

Horse Rescue boss Pauline Grant told the Express she spends more than £50 a week feeding Ralph.

His daily diet includes a cabbage, broccoli, corn on the cob, half a cucumber, half a bag of watercress, two apples, two slices of brown bread and Weetabix with cream.

He’s following in the paw-steps of his dad Roberto who weighed three stone, five pounds at his heaviest.

If you go along to another one of the Trust’s open days you can see Ralph in person.
