Just when you thought spring was on its way, winter returned with a vengeance today (Monday March 11).
While travel disruption has been minimal in East Sussex, the hills are covered with a blanket of snow.
Temperatures today will stay at around -1C, but combined with the wind chill factor it will feel more like -9C.
No school closures have been reported in Lewes or Wealden Districts and the roads remain passable so far.
It seems the worst of snow has missed Lewes and Wealden, but more snow is predicted for today.
Residents are advised to keep an eye on the forecast and travel news.
