Video: UKIP takes Pevensey

The first result for East Sussex County Council’s elections of the day has seen UKIP take Pevensey and Westham from the Conservatives.

Mike Pursglove won 43.9 per cent of the vote for UKIP with 1,096 votes knocking out Tony Freebody who gained 39.7 percent of the votes (991 in total) for the Conservatives.

Rachel Hills gained 5.5 per cent of the vote for the LDems and Robert Slater 10.9 per cent for Labour.

The turnout was 33 per cent.
