The Dripping Pan, home of Lewes Football Club, hosted a feast of football on Thursday (May 8).

But it was football with a difference - all the players were local primary school children.

They took part in a five-a-side tournament to raise money for the annual Moving On Parade in Lewes, organised by the local art charity Patina.

It proved an exciting opportunity for Year 5 and 6 boys and girls to play at a prestigious venue.

Lewes FC Director Charlie Dobres said: “We are pleased to support this fundraising event for the Patina Moving On Parade.

“The parade has become a big event in the Lewes calendar and the kids love it. We’re a community club and we’re happy to help make it happen.”
