Views are needed on the town

The Famously Hastings website, in partnership with Sussex Police and Hastings Borough Council, wants to know what people think about Hastings and St Leonards to help make it a better place to live, work and visit.

Residents have until Monday, January 19 to complete a survey and results will be published in February.

Chief Inspector Paul Phelps, Hastings district policing commander, said: “Hastings and St Leonards is a vibrant and diverse area, with a proud community. It is a place I am proud to be part of and one that should be celebrated and improved for all. I am hoping that this work will help provide important insights which will allow us to work on ways to further improve the town and its services in 2015. As well as this online survey researchers, with the very generous help of Priory Meadow shopping centre, have been carrying out street questionnaires, some of these which will be filmed.”

Council leader Jeremy Birch said: “I hope residents will take the opportunity to let the police and the council know what they feel so we can try to improve Hastings for the benefit of everyone.”
